Just picked up some 100min CD-Rs...

Postby Cykodagr8 » Sat Aug 12, 2017 10:41 am

I picked up some Media Range 100min CD-Rs and they work very well compared to the Banana Digitals I got a while back. They do the job for the 99min games on here, but I was wondering if there are any 100min releases. I have searched and only found that some exist, but I can't find any. Any floating around that people know of?

I haven't done a search to give you an extensive answer but, the only game title I know of is Omikron The Nomad Soul released ONLY for the Sega Dreamcast console.
(The game was also released for Windows, but a cheaper DVD could be used for that.)
+++++
And like schooluser asked.....
Where did you get them from?
(And HOW MUCH did you have to pay including shipping/ handling?)

I found them on Ebay, and they came Royal Mail from England. I payed about $25 US (shipping & handling included) for 25 discs. Found them when my search for 99 min CD-Rs turned futile. The seller is natureinks. He has over 500 sold and 47% sold. Have at it.

This is the page:

Hmmm...

An hour and forty minutes worth of data might sound appeasing, but let us make sure that the material quality is not scotch tape, 'kay?

I've burned and test 6 games now and all work... so far. This is better than the Banana Digital where I got 0 out of 100 to work. They had some BAD discs they were pushing.

The Banana Digital discs were bad batches if you ordered from DealExtreme. There was a write up here about them a couple of years ago with several users here and on other forum sites who bought them and every batch shipped at the time were fubared.

However, going back to around 2011 ish, they were okay. I personally, gave up at the time in search for 99min discs and bought some of the originals that could not be properly downsampled to fit on a single 80min and now invested in ODE's such as the USB and GDEMU.

I may have a look at this out of curiosity. Can you confirm the 99min rips here have burned successfully? and what is the burner you are using?

I will have to look for it, thanks. If anyone else knows of any others, let me know.

8 games in and they all go in-game. I haven't sat down and played all of them, just started pressing them up.
