Best Place to Find Translation Patches?

Postby Xylob » Sun Jan 14, 2018 9:16 pm

Hi all, new here.
Tried the forum search feature but came up with nothing except results for specific titles.

Where is the best place to find translation patches for disc-based games?
romhacking.net is awesome for cart-based patches and translations, but I'm really struggling to find a good source for for translation patches to apply to .iso images.

"Just get the version of the game in your language!" is a nice smart-ass answer, but doesn't help for games that were never released in English....

TIA!

Rom hacking has translations for both cart and disc games. Not just for roms. For example This PSX game recently got an English translation. They have tons more.

In the end though google is your friend. Got a game you wanna play but it's in a different language, then search the web for it. All I can say.

Romhacking dot net and gbatemp hold collection of past translation and hacks. Some can only be found via the translator sites, which you will have Google search or know the site name... mostly blog spots.

For just the patches, RHDN.
For discussion of current translation projects, GBAtemp.
TiZ is an okay-ish source of prepatched isos.
Nicoblog has a slightly better selection, but the download hosts they use are a mixed bag.

Thanks!
Yeah, I noticed nicoblog was heavy on the 'visual novels' and RPGs, which I have no interest in.
I'll check out the others though!
