Skyrim mods?

Postby Ginge5ify » Wed Nov 22, 2017 7:12 pm

Hey, ginge5ify. I was wondering, is it possible to add graphic mods or even other mods through horizon and USB? I've only seen videos of people editing saves for all items, and people adding mods with a jtag . I just want to know, if it's possible for me to add a graphic mod to skyrim through USB, thanks

Maybe there even is, but why bother? - There are zillion mods for the PC version, so just play that one.

Reasoning is I'm not a pc gamer and I have no intent of being one, I'm content on my consoles.

mods on the fly from a usb drive while you're playing ? that's a nope. mod files has to be installed in your skyrim directory in specific places. not hard to do on pc. but when you're on console, you're just fucked, or you can PAY for shitty esthetic mods from the bethesda site (implying their shit works on those shitty consoles).

Then you'll have to be content on having an experience without good mods.

Skyrim loads all of the base files on startup so there's no way to inject mod files while it's running. I don't know why you'd want to mod a low resolution, low textured version of Skyrim anyway because sometimes it struggles on consoles even with those lower settings. Injecting anything else into the game would just degrade the already poor performance to an even lower experience.

If you want a PC-like experience the only way to get that is on PC.

It´s only a mere shadow of what you have avaiable on PC though, a crumb from the big modding cake. While I do like that console gamers now start to get the chance of trying a few mods here and there if the modders decide to offer their content on the consoles, it still won´t ever reach the full potential it has on PC because consoles are way too closed of a system and too underspecced for a lot of mods anyway.
