Hello and welcome to the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood English Translation Patch (PSP to TurboGrafx-CD). After many years of leaving this project abandoned I can happily say that this patch has reached it's much needed 100% status! However the credits have not made it into this release of the patch (if ever) so in order to compensate for this inconvenience we have included the translation for the credits in the readme.
To make clear, this patch will translate the TurboGrafx-CD version of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood into English. Everything will be translated; even the voiced dialogue will be replaced with the official Konami English dub from Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP). However miscellaneous grunts will retain their original Japanese.
It also replaces the old German narrator with the new narration that was in the PSP and VC release of the game. If you, for whatever reason, do not like this you can easily swap back the original narration (Track03) after it is done patching.
So here it is the best Castlevania game hands down!! This has now been fully translated and it in ISO/WAV/CUE format (aka Turbo Rip according to Nectasy database) for emulation users and hardware users alike.
I built this image myself and burn tested on a DUO-RX and Xbox 1, it worked for both. Hope you enjoy this fully translated masterpiece emulation and hardware fans alike!! This unlike my last postings, BTW sorry about that I was mislead thought it was 100% but was only 98%.This is 100% ENGLISH now without any other language.
Anyhow this one is 100% translated as you can see from the quote above from the author. Disc was duped from my personal disc and matched Nectasy database checksums so it is a clean proper image and prepatched for your enjoyment.
Burn tested using Taiyo Yunden's at 10X with my IMGBurn Pack and confirmed working from disc on PC Engine DUO-RX and Xbox 1. It always has been confirmed working from HDD on Xbox 1 using Medenafen. Hope you all enjoy!! In order to play from Xbox HDD one must convert WAV files to MP3, I suggest 320kbps as there will be nominal loss of quality and I also suggest Goldwave to recode the WAV to MP3 as it uses the best MP3 codec and it is just a wrapper for the awesome app that is SOX with a nice and easy to use UI.
Then either open the CUE sheet in wordpad and change all the WAV extensions to MP3. Simply press CTRL+H and in the first field type WAV and the second box type MP3 then click the replace all button and you have an edited CUE sheet for your WAV to MP3 conversions and ready for Xbox emulation. PC emulation users can leave the files as is to run them with Magic Engine.
Or just use Sega CUE Maker with all the files in the directory, this means the TOC, MP3's, and ISO and create a new CUE sheet. Then FTP to your directory and enjoy!!
If you want a BIN/CUE set for whatever reason this is a 1:1 image so just mount the CUE sheet and rip to BIN/CUE using IMGBurn and whatever you do do not rip with Alcohol 120% BIN/CUE it ignores post gap data and will make all your audio 2 seconds off as I will not be doing three releases of this game like the lat one. This works for emulation and hardware users and I just told you how to easily make a BIN/CUE set.
