Monster Rancher 4

This game is massive and addictive there's a kind of mini-game built in where you can create thousands of different creatures by putting different disks in your PS2 each cd/dvd will create a different monster!

Here's one list of just a few... http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/914760-mons ... faqs/26856

Mocchi, Suezo, and Golem are back in Monster Rancher 4. This entry in the Monster Rancher series features an expanded breeding and training program, full customization of training facilities, and an interactive action adventure element. Breed and train multiple monsters simultaneously with a variety of training equipment to choose from. The more efficiently you plan out your training facilities, the better you will be able to train your new monsters. You can also pop other Monster Rancher CDs and DVDs into your disc drive to unlock new types of monsters.

Thank you Kiryu, I have been wondering the same thing, only problem is, on most of my ESR games, the drive refuses to open. Ofcourse Im sure MR4 tells it to pop open so idk. Just addressing my concern lol

I can confirm that this game is working properly with esr. You can change the disc to create monsters. The only problem is that all my esr games gave me the same monster, and my other non esr games gave me another, no matter what game i used. Tried it with a retail ps2 game (King of Fighters 2006) and it worked perfectly. So as long as you have retail discs lying around, you are good to go.

I thought you were supposed to use music cds for making monsters. I still remember the first one on PS1, Slayer Diablous in Musica would give you a pink bunny and Barbera Streisand would give you some huge ass evil looking dragon

The 1st one on ps1 let you use music cds and other cd-rom based software i.e. psx games and pc games. The ps2 monster ranchers allow cd based media and dvd based media. it sucks that my burned games don't yield positive results, but it's not gonna kill me to open my big binder and get my retail games out of it
